Default Rain Water Leak

OK, I have searched and read the found threads on leaks but most of them seem to end without a resolution. The only one I found stated that they found water going from the cowl and through the rubber wiring sleeve. I checked mine and it looks completely dry with no standing water on the cowl. Friday was the first day my wife smelled humidity and then felt the rug and it was wet. It is clear and with no smell. We get plenty of rain in SFL and she did not drive through any puddles because she took the Jeep on the Rainy days. The wet spot is right in the middle. The sides are dry and so is the front. I looked and felt up under the dash and all is dry also with no sign of ever being wet. OK so now any suggestions or fixes from anyone who got this fixed? Thanks in advance.

Usually it's coming from a small crack from the rubber gourmet, but if u say you checked it good, then try leaving your water hose on in that direction.. Go in your car and wait.

This is interesting, because i've had rain water leak in both my 03 Z and 07 G35x. I forget if I have it in my 06 Z or not. Also, had it in my 1980 280zx, but thats..that would be surprising if it didn't leak.

Did you check the outer seals on the four corners of the windshield? I don't know if rain water can find it's way in from there, but I know those seals commonly fail. I used black RTV to patch mine up. Also, is the drain from your AC evaporator plugged up maybe?

It is not the a\c because the vehicle was not moved for those two days because of expected road flooding where my wife works. In reference to the windshield the strange thing is that the front of the rug all the way up to under the dash is dry. I even pulled the rug forward and it was dry. Also only on driver side in case I failed to mention that. I may have to pull the seat and rug to see better.

Not to sound like an ***, but is it possible it has been that way for a while and nobody noticed it?
