Unhappy DTE/Fuel gauge shows empty when full

My battery Is brand new.
I filled my tank up all the way full.
MLS shows - - - - - -
And fuel gauge is empty with the light on.

I'm not sure if it could be the fuel sensors, the floater, unified meter control unit or something else.

Please help me out.

Welcome to the board, but there's not enough info- has this problem occurred previously? Are you new to this Z? How many miles and what condition? Are there any other electrical problems?

Fuel sending unit? Mine was acting up the other day, but it's good now. It happened right after I hit a nasty bump inevitably. I was boxed in by 2 semi's

dkmura -
Thanks. It hasn't happened before.
I am new to the Z. It's in great condition. Almost has 69,500 miles.
The digital gauge shows the number fluctuating when it comes to the air in the tires. And the passenger front tire shows - - - - .
The only other thing wrong with the car is:
* the passenger window motor

I called the dealership for any recalls...and the only one there was for the 2004 one is the fuel hoses.

Kels88 - How do I find out if it's the fuel sending unit? Or how to fix it?

Probably checking the resistance of it and compare it to FSM readings. There's some threads here about the fuel sending unit, I'll link 1 so you can get your read on

You're asking about a few different issues. As others have said, start by checking the fuel sending unit for that problem. The problem with the tire sensors is probably due to the TPMS in your wheels not being registered properly, or losing their charge. Either way, do a search and you'll find plenty of information on TPMS issues. Same for the PS window.

Those are all fairly common problems. My fuel gauge hasn't worked correctly for years. I just learned to live with it.

If you have an 03-05 it's about at the age limit for the batteries in the TPMS. Mine are starting to lose signal of my 04.

Window motors are very common. I just replaced both of mine last month.
