Default Weird noise in neutral when clutch is out

i noticed a weird noise coming from my transmission when I was stopped in neutral. When I push the clutch in it goes away. It sounds like a sort of clunking but fairly light though. Any idea what it might be?

There are plenty of claims of clutch chatter fresh off the showroom floor. It's extremely common in these cars.

Noisy transmission is noisy.

Nothing you can do other than keep your foot on the clutch or buy a new car.

It's your throw-out bearing. It's a normal problem on the Z and will come back no matter what you do.

I agree. That's my thought as well... if the OP is reporting the situation accurately. --Spike
