Default Headlight Condensation!!!!

Hello,

I recently did a mod on my 08 headlight and for the first month, everything was fine, no condensation what so ever. Boom second month in and the driver side start to fog up only when the headlights are turn on than it freezes. Its winter where I leave but at times when the roads are clear, i like to take my z out. I re sealed the highlight with its own black glue thingy that was still on it. I also seal the outside with clear silicone. After the second month since it fog up, I took out the driver side and resealed it with black silicone on the outside edges. Now the passenger side is fogging up a little bit now too. I'm not sure at this point what do do since the condensation keeps on coming back regardless of the double silicone seal. Any help/opinion is much appreciated. I'm trying to avoid buying new headlights.

Thanks

you are not completely sealed somewhere... where, who knows.

you should have used rubber butyl to seal it

I mean, the 08 headlight do have these small tubes coming out of the headlight with somthing like sponges inside them. so the headlight to begin with wasn't seal up completely....ah man sucks...

Dry it out before resealing if any moisture is in redesign it just keeps trapping it in there. And when it heats up it just rebuilds condensation on the lense. On my diesel I had the same problem and I removed the lense and used a heat gun on low to dry it. Then resealed it looks brand new.

Thanks for the tip. I probably will do that, clean the inside with lint free cloth first, than heat it up with blow dryer than seal it again...

Yeah it's a pain but I was like you and tried a lot of things. Just take your time and try to do it in as little humidity as possible.
