Rack and pinion
So after doing my oil change today, I noticed my rack and pinion assembly is leaking and is covered in fluid. So its time to to replace that. After talking to a buddy of mine about him installing it he says that the whole suspension needs to be removed. Is there anything I should be replacing since I need to rip apart the whole thing apart (other then the struts and springs, thats for another time) ? It's at 90k right now.

You don't have to pull the entire front suspension to change the rack. I would change the outer tie rods with the rack at a minimum. Double check your ball joints and bushings while you are in there; make sure you get an alignment after the install. Another thing you may want to look at before you change your rack, clean it and see if the pressure hose is leaking. The whole rack should not be covered if it is leaking from the end of the rack through the bellow. May save you alot of time and money. If you find the pressure line is leaking there are a couple vendors on here that sell SS lines for approx 70$
