From the factory, they are harder then common cars. Then with wider tires they get slightly worse, then as compression arm bushings get crappy they steering gets harder. Worn tires cause a harder wheel, just way to many variables

what did you drive before? how big are your wheels?

a lot of cars now have electro power steering that kills steering feedback and is definitely lighter.

that could be one reason your feeling this way

and the bigger your wheels the harder it should be to steer at low speeds ( if i am not mistaken)

I find the steering in the Z to be lighter than the FX personally. I assume it's a weight/tire thing. Could also be newer parts on the Z. If it truly is hard to turn you might have a PS issue though.

Agree. I daily a Camry and when I go back to my Z I definitely notice how much harder the steering is. With that being said, I think the steering on the Z is perfect, not too light and not too heavy, just right.

It is stock wheels (17") and I drive a 08 Subaru impreza before. But I used to own an e46 bmw and the z steering wheel is same as the bmw.
