i just recently started having this problem with my car as of yesterday. first things first, my trunk switch above my license plate stopped working last year so I've been using my pull cord on rear strut bar. yesterday when doing a brake job it started going off randomly (every 5 seconds) then it would stop for a few minutes then keep going. its been happening while driving but luckily my spoiler and shot trunk shocks keep it closed. anyone have any suggestions on whats going on or how to fix it. was thinking of just unplugging the actuator. let me know!!

 

Your contacts are probably corroded or out of place at the back where your trunk latch connects. That's the best way to describe it. IIRC, people were using pennies or adjusting the height of the latch to fix that problem. I may see if I can find the thread and link it here.
