Default convertible roof sticking

I have a 2004 350z roadster. Two issues...
1) The back end of the roof isnt always coming up. It seams to work when it wants to. One day it lifts fine, the next you have to pull up a little to help the motor grab. Very strange stuff
2) The storage lid refuses to open fully even with assistance. I dont wana push too hard to keep from breaking it. It opens about 1/4 of the way and stops. And thats as far as my roof sequence goes.

Been scouring the net for answers and I been hearing lubricating the moving parts and repairing/replacing the 5th bow motor is what I been coming up with. Anyone else have this problem? Is that what it was for you or did u need to repair/replace something else? Any suggestions or advice would b greatly apreciated. Also are there any other parts to lubricate other then the 2 hydraulic arms on the sides? Let me know! Thanks a million!

Default convertible roof problems

I have a 2006 with roof problems, wanting to know if a do it yourself person should attempt replacing the top motor or is this something that should be taken to a dealer?
Where can you purchase a maintenance manual for a 2006 roadster?
