i know something like this has been brought up, but has anybody else had a little coolant right around the area of the vent hole or some dried coolant right near the overflow cap? just checking.

 

I had that same problem with my 04' Roadster. I found that the dealer overfilled my overflow bottle when I took the car in for an oil change and while the car was there, they checked all of my fluids and topped them off. My "Z" seems to transfer coolent back and forth between the bottle and the radiator more than any other car I have ever owned. I undid the overflow bottle bracket and pulled the bottle out of it's housing and then drained off the excess coolent via the rubber hose that connects to the radiator. (I removed the end of the hose that connects to the radiator) then drained the excess off. I drained it right down to the "MIN" line and now when I drive the car, it comes up almost to the "MAX" line but no longer leaks out of the vent or cap.

The funny thing is...I can still smell antifreeze coming from somewhere near the fron of the motor after I shut it off. I can't find any leaks but I can still smell it. It is driving me crazy....have you had any similar problems or smells????

i don't smell it, but i checked the overflow and it was in between the min/max line turned off. just saw a little right at the overflow in the hole and a little dried up around the fill cap.
