Camshaft Position Sensor/po345 CEL Code
Hey everyone. New member and also JUST picked up a 2003 Brickyard Z a couple weeks ago. 102K miles
OK so here's the backstory. The car was running PERFECTLY.... Up until I ran out of gas like an idiot. My DTE told me 36 miles, and I was on my way to the pump when it ran out in McDonalds drive through. Didn't burn the fuel pump up, as far as I know. Didn't really try to start it until I got the gas in it. So, I made a ghetto fuel container and put a gallon in it. Drive 300 feet and it quit again. I figured maybe it was just because there may have been air in the lines, or the pump just didn't get any gas. So I pruned the pump a few times and made it to the pump and promptly put 10 gallons in.... Started it, and it quit again.... Primed the pump revved it a little, and I was good to go.... Except now, my CEL, TCS, and SLIP lights were on. I ignored it and figured it was because of the gas, and went home.
Next day, drove fine. But the CEL light was still on. And the car stalled out of NOWHERE while I was driving at a low speed. Took a few seconds, but she started up. Scared the hell out of me. The other 2 lights came back on.
After work I took the car to get code read and it gave me PO345 (Camshaft Position Sensor Bank Something Something). So I cleared the code and went home. The next day on my way to work and it stalled at a light. Embarrassing as hell! And it takes a while to start. But it does start eventually. So now, it stalls randomly, and it takes 2-3 seconds for it start.
So last night, I reset the ECU and did the peddle dance. And started right up the next morning. Today, it's stalling more then ever. I'm gonna pull the sensors today and clean with MAF cleaner...... Please help

sadly camshaft position sensors are known to fail(both), I had to change both on my first 350z, first it was only one, replaced that one and in a couple of weeks or months i had to change the other one. better buy them OEM too.
