Default What ECU code is being thrown here (vid)?

I recording an ECU code being thrown, but cannot figure out what code it is -- and I have read ECU codes from my 350Z before.

Turn down the audio if my counting messes you up. It appears to blick 7 times and then 1 last quick blink for 8 in total. It does not seem to could off 4 digits as usual.

Any ideas?

(P.S. I have run into odd codes before, earlier this year and recorded them, if you are interested.)

way easier to take it to nearest advance auto parts that checks OBD2 for free. or buy your own on ebay they are like $8, that will get you a better answer

pr_350z,

Thank you.

After all of this I agree. I have run into problems reading codes before:

Perhaps the odd blinking is due to it throwing more than one code.

Plus, I had no idea OBD2 scanners could be as cheap as $8. I was thinking $100 or more. If you have any suggestions on a scanner, I would be pleased to know.

Curious, do most cheap OBD2 scanners work via blue tooth and presumably you use an app on a phone that connects to them?

a lot of people use the free Torque app for android phones or tablets. I use a bluetooth version of an elm327, but careful, the first i bought did not connect with nissan vehicles. so ordered a different version and it worked. If you own an iphone you will need a Wifi version of an obd2 scanner as thats how they connect as far as i know. the obd2 scanner that worked for me looked like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vgate-ELM327-Bluetooth-OBD2-Car-Diagnostics-Scanner-Scan-Tool-Android-PC-v1-2-/331487969830?hash=item4d2e390226

Thanks everyone.

Update on the code. It was a "P0455 EVAP system gross leak", which is likely a gas cap leak. The ECU should have blinked out the 0, 4, 5, 5 digits to me. No ideas why it did not.
