for the z tranny you need to push down and back to go into reverse,

My car gets all the gears and all but its doesnt pop back up. Its stays pushed in with movement like if its missing something. I can get all the gear but for 6th i need to pick the shifter up and then back so i dont run into reverse.

Any advise on what the problem is and/or how to fix it ??

if i remember correctly there is a spring in there... sounds like it is busted or missing. do you know if it is the factory or short throw one?

 

Here is a picture, looks stock and where would the spring go ? I took of the shifter and put it back on but all i saw was the bolt that holds it in place. <br/><br/>This is a g35 with a 350 tranny. Cd009
