Default SPL bushings do not go in

I dont understand how people simply hammer solid bushings in, ive been trying for the whole day and they dont wanna move. tried a dead blow hammer, mallet, metal hammer with pieces of eood only to have the wood just keep spliting after like 3 swings, tried a huge bolt with a bunch of washers and metal plate usin an air impact to "press" it in. nothing. im losing my sanity as we speak lmao. any advice would be appreciated

If you havent damaged the mating surface yet, go freeze your bushings for a couple hours then install them frozen.

Always freeze solid bushings before trying to install.

Aways Freeze

And not a baby hammer either

I've been debating buying Z1s 100$ bolt and washer to keep my subframe bushings looking nice after install

i froze them for two days, and used some marine bearing grease, was able to get one in with a hammer but had to use a press for the other 3 lol. the press took like 5 mins.
