Default 350z Rear Clunk. HELP, Ive tried so many things.

Hello Im posting here as my last resort and hoping I can find someone that had my issue. I getting a clunking noise on the rear passenger side when i go over bumps in the road.
I already replaced the CV axle, removed the sway bar endlink for a test drive to see if that was the culprit, no luck. Rear interior is completely stripped.
This started when I switched to the PBM pro true coilovers from my stance oem type coilovers. I tried tightening the top coilover nut, and even swapped the two PBM rear coilovers, still does it on the passenger side. Car has welded diff and ASD hydro so maybe its my diff or subframe bushings after some abuse but they look and feel fine.
Ive also checked for anything hitting metal to metal under there, nothing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as Ive researched alot and came up with no luck so far. Thanks.

i know that as ive been under there all day and they looked and felt fine, no play in them, no cracks or anything. Ive been trying to find this noise for a few months now. I know what bad bushing look like and feel like due to i had a e36 before and i had to do the subframe and RTAB bushings.

I sell SPL so lemme know...

But the bushings are made by white line and energy suspension I believe

Did you try replacing the shock mount bushing? Goes above the rear struts. I had the same issue until I had that replaced. Also there is a padding that goes where the rear shocks mount into the body that got worn over the years and I had that changed out along with the bushings.

See here for bushings:

i have PBM pro coilovers so that shock bushing doesnt apply to me, as far as a padding on the rear shocks? what do u mean? if your talking about the little paper thin orange gasket. i have new ones it there but that thing only keeps moisture out, not really a "pad"

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get a sheet of valve packing, which is basically a piece of thin (maybe 1/8") pink rubber. It's in the plumbing section. Cut it into the shape of that useless paper gasket, and use it in its place. It's the only thing that worked to clunk in my car, and it's lasted for a few years now. Nissan replaced the gasket a few times under warranty, and the clunk always quickly came back.

ill try that out if the bushing dont fix it. Got my SPL solid diff and subframe bushing today, so hopefully the clunk will be gone tomorrow.

yea, ive contacted PBM about the rear coilovers maybe being defective, Ive had 2 sets from them in the past for s13s, loved em and no issues but idk what else it could be. imma try the thin piece of rubber on top of the coilovers like another person said tomorrow but i doubt thats my issue.

Just an update, I called PBM and they are shipping me out two new rear shocks to try out to see if it fixes the problem, im just at a loss for ideas as I don't even wanna drive the car with this clunk anymore. If there is anyone who would like to hear a video of the clunking or any other info to help me out id appreciate it alot.

PBM isn't know for quality stuff, but at least they are trying... did you try what Deteria stated? if not, do it when you replace them (but then you wont truly know what the issue is)
