Default AC COMPRESSOR ON / Cold Air hit or miss...

I have a 2004 350Z Touring. Last year I filled with new Freon. Below are the bullets points of my problems.

1-AC never works in the rain
2-AC Compressor will be on, but pumping no cold air
3-AC Pressure is at 70PSI rite now at 85 degrees
4-When AC is working it works great!
5-When I'm driving in hot weather sometimes AC will work sometimes it won't. Lately it's gotten worse to the point I've created this thread and yes I've been searching for about a year on this issue.

ANY HELP I BEG OF YOU! The car is not my daily sits in garage and only taken out on nice days, and when it's nice my AC is hit or miss.

Thanks for any advise you can give me.

Is the belt slipping, the rain problem seems like it might be? If not it might be better to take it to someone with full gauges so they can look at the high and low side pressures. Otherwise it might be a sensor problem.

I just checked the pressure no leaks. Compressor doesn't always kick on when I turn on the AC. Are you talking about the sensor that tells the temp or a relay?

RB - Did you do the AC work yourself or did you have a shop do it for you? Unless someone has the full meal deal manifold, vacuum, tanks, etc. AND understands AC systems forwards and backwards, I strongly recommend taking it to a decent shop. It doesn't cost much to have a leak test and re-fill done professionally.
