Default 350z 2004 keeps shutting itself!!! Help pls

My 2004 350z car keep shutting itself ..even while driving and some times while parked.. and rpm some times jumps and gets laggish as well..


Am nt sure if its sensor problem or what.. please let me know what the issue can be .. i have after market intake headers and cats .. and stage 3 clutch installed ..

Another electrical problem thread. Start by checking the battery and connections. Keep in mind that batteries older than 4-5 years may not have the voltage to keep all the systems up and running well. If that's not the problem, pull codes and let us know what's showing up on not only the ECM, but also the BCM side.

Could be your camshaft sensor, throttle position sensor, dirty MAF sensor, or too much carbon build up.

I had the same problem. My Z would turn off on me while driving. I seafoamed it; which solved the problem temporarily then I upgraded the throttle body and air filter and that fixed the problem. I didn't have any check engine codes come up which is why I didn't bother changing sensors.

Had the same problem last year. I'd put my money on changing the camshaft position sensor then go from there.

Nope no tune .. just got headers ..air intake and throttle body

And i cheked with scanner it showed there is some problm with the clockspring or spiral cable.. it needs to be replaced ..
