Question CONSULT III Anyone?

I was wondering if anyone in the SoCal area has a CONSULT III device to diagnose my Z, I'm willing to pay since I still can't figure out my P0300 code with lack of power and fumes going into the cabin.

Otherwise I might have to buy one online, it's like $135 bucks since no mechanics are able to diagnose my car other than guess work~

tool: Consult 3 III SP38-B

While I'm not in SoCal, it's important to note that a real CONSULT III unit doesn't cost $135. The factory dealerships that carry this sophisticated diagnostic and programming units can afford the $15-20K price tag these units really cost. The cheaper knockoffs use the same non-copyrighted name, but have strictly limited functions.

I use UpRev's Cipher software to diagnose most problems and bet it's worlds better than that $135 unit. Just posting this so you realize what you're asking for.

With the bootleg devices you are going to be struggling with cracked/hacked software they are not the best solution.

If you're talking about the Ebay-style Consult devices they churn out of china... well, if you're going to buy one of those, I have a bridge to sell you.
