Default 2006 350z Power loss

Hey everyone, I have a 2006 350z at 120k miles that has fairly recently started acting up. In the low rpm range it drives fine and how it normally would. As soon as I start to add gas it starts to act like it doesn't want to accelerate past a certain speed, when you floor it the engine revs up like it would but instead of the sudden hit of power the engine sounds like its over-revving and barely any power and slight oil smell. I checked my tuner for a code and it originally shot out a p0300 for multiple cylinder misfires. I changed all the spark plugs and the code went away but the power issue is still there. There is also a rattle at <2k rpm coming from the engine bay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nobody will be able to diagnose your car over the internet.

Just looking for some suggestions as what to do next in trying to figure out what's wrong. I'm not looking for a full diagnosis of everything wrong with my car.

Mine went limp mode, might be what yours is doing? It was the maf after cleaning and oiling my K&N intake filter. But i agree, take it in.

One or more of the following three issues can cause an engine to misfire: Electrical (i.e., plugs, coil packs, etc.,) Fuel (i.e., injectors, etc.,) and Mechanical (i.e., bad rings, etc..) You say you smell oil, but are you burning it and experiencing oil loss? If you don't have the capability to do a honest diagnostic of the issues that may be causing your p0300 code, which honestly, could be a TON of different things, then take Trav's advice and take the car to a pro who can do a competent engine scan, hydrocarbon test, etc.. They've got the equipment that can pinpoint what's causing your power loss.

FWIW, check your air filter as well.

Default Possibly traction control

Your traction control may be kicking in and applying brakes. Normally the SLIP will be displayed. Try turning it off and see what happens.

Issue solved. Back to front tires improperly rotated making incorrect tire sizes. No further issues.
