Well, I had an issue with my passenger compression rod and have decided to replace it. I bought a new rod but when I try to tighten the nut that meets the joint (near the knuckle) and it spins with the bolt / joint?? I've tried jacking it up to put weight on it, I've tried tightening it while the car is on the ground, I've tried an impact. I've tried damn near everything I can think of and I can't get it to tighten! Does anybody have any suggestions? I don't know what else to do and I'm going mad lol.
