Default Repair for 350Z left undriven the last 8 years

Hello

I bought a new 350Z HR in 2008. I used it for a year (with only 500 miles driven), until I had health and family problems. So the last 8 years, it sad in my garage undriven. And now I want to bring it back to new. My local dealership isn't well aware (euphemism) of this kind of repair, so I gathered a lot of information about this, and need your help to check all that. Especially the order, and re-startup procedure.

- complete remplacement of fuel lines, tank, and pump
- engine oil change + filter, and oil pump
- put some oil put into spark plug holes, and turn by hand the crankshaft to relubricate segments
- water pump and circuit & radiator replacement (because of cooling water having become acid over the years and damaged the circuit)

- gearbox oil change
- LSD oil change
- clutch fluid change
- power steering fluid change
- brake fluid change

I think that's all. Anything special I need to know in addition to that ?
Thank you

I’d also replace all the radiator hoses, and the serpentine belt, too.

After the engine is broken in (3,000 miles,) consider getting new tires. A new battery at this point is another no-brainer. Check all rubber parts for dry rot. As a precaution, you can spray down rubber parts with silicone spray to loosen them up a bit (boots, bushings, mounts, etc.) Finally, refer to the FSM (see the most recent post in the sticky thread here in the maintenance forum) and hit all the lube points with some grease. Don't forget door hinges, etc. Everything's probably dried out by now.

You have a rare gem of a car there. Hope your health is better & welcome to the boards.

If the car sat inside all this time and BEFORE you go about REPLACING all of the fuel components, see if there are places in your area that can flush the fuel system (or at least drain & immediately refill the tank then purge the fuel lines). The gas is almost-no-doubt bad but the inside of the fuel system - with that few miles on it - might still be OK.

Once that's done and it's fired up, run it for a bit with a good water displacement additive (like Heet or other products by CRC or Sta-Bil) then immediately change the fuel filter.

Also, clean the throttle bodies, clean the MAFS, and replace your air filters..... I don't think the Z has an in-line fuel filter, Mic. Just the one attached to the fuel pump.

As one of the moderators, I haven't seen anything outside of the original post that started this thread. What "previous answer" are you referring to?

It was a long answer, with multiple quote to each person of this topic When I sent, it said it needed moderator approval. Anyway, that's not important I guess.
