URGENT!, Help, front suspension clunking
Hi, i have a clunking in my front right suspension, it sounds like something is loose when i go on uneven surfaces or potholes.
- Only at low speeds
- If is it on an uneven surface it can sound intermittently a different number of times and rhythm, but is the same metal sounding sound.
- At low speeds i can sometimes make the sound by hard turning the wheel to the right and then centering it fast.
- Sometimes in potholes doesn't sound but most times it does.
- It does the sound with the wheels centered or while turning on potholes.
- With a passenger is hard to make the sound and it sounds like only 20% the volume that without a passenger.
- My bushing and ball joints looks ok from the outside.
- I Can't replicate the sound standing still or with the car lifted (neither by turning the wheels or pushing down and up on the car by the strut on the engine bay).
- I moved the wheels with the car lifted and didn't had play neither horizontal or vertical.
I believe this is my problem, that the rubber insulator of the strut mount is cracked and the metal spring is touching the metal strut mount, can this make those kind of sounds?, or do you think this is more like the banana arm or upper arm ball joint symptoms?
I bought parts 7 and 5 of this photo (both sides) to fix it, do this most likely fix it?

It would help if you posted how many miles are on your Z. Depending on how worn different components are, there could be many parts that are worn out. Hard to tell from behind a keyboard. That broken rubber insulator could be the problem, so why not just replace it and see if the sound goes away?

- inner tie rods
- outter tie rods

- banana bar bushing
I haven't changed because they look good this parts:
- A arm
