Car broke down
Hey guys,
Again I drive a Nissan 350z 07'. About a day ago, I was driving my car when all of a sudden the car started to shake a bit and the exhaust was making a sound like it didn't have air flow and the car didn't shut off but rather the engine did . I then proceeded to turn off the car and try again in 5 min, which I did and the car cranked up and the engine immediately turned off but the car was still on, like the battery and ac. After, I pushed the car to a parking lot and thank god I was near a mall. I bought 2 quarts of oil and put it in the car and then it started to run perfectly. The thing is the "service engine soon" sign has been up in my car for about two weeks and I'm thinking it was because I haven't changed the oil in 5 thousand miles. Any thoughts on this? Also, I recently just installed non-resonated test pipes so maybe that's killing my oil. Again, I usually change my oil every 4 thousand miles but I slacked off this time. So any thoughts on what could've made the engine shut off?

change the oil and go get the codes read... but i guarantee they are for downstream o2 sensors because you put on test pipes. the test pipes arent doing anything to your oil, you need to change it and then monitor for burning and leaking (once again, see your other threads)
