THIS WILL STOP NOW!
Friend of mine asked me why I don't post as much as before. This thread is one reason why.
Here's the thing.... people come on here with all sorts of attitudes. The same monosyllabic tones and one sentence "requests for information" that go nowhere and then they get all sulky when people point out why they can't really answer or they don't like the answers they're getting.
Thought about just dropping out of this place but saw some questions that actually made sense and were thought out and researched. And then I see this thread and the defensive posturing to people who tried to help. Obviously not to the OP's liking I guess. Definitely rethinking my decision again.
Anyways, if this goes on any further, well, been awhile since anyone got banned here (Mostly because no one really cares what's on here anymore.)

If I reacted to every comment I thought was:
- Stupid
- Reactionary
- Wrong
- Misguided
- Foul
` Etc. - name a negative trait
That'd be my life's work, not a few minutes a day monitoring the site.
So for everyone's sake, everyone just move on. Life is too f'n short for games.

the good thing is the trend has moved on to the GTR...the GTR has become the next '350z' in the negative connotation I hint at.
Did this happen with the z32 300zx too? did the z32 300zx become a laughing stock of the automotive world when it fell in price? and/or as the z33 350z was rumored and hit the market?
for the record - I live everyone here (minus the op) but especially Mic ... Mic for president

The Z32s never seemed to get the same treatment as the 240s or 350s, at least not in my parts. Sure I will see a few beat up Z32 NAs from time to time, but nothing even close to the abominations I see Z33s turned into. I believe this is because they were very expensive when new, they are also a lot more expensive to maintain (Especially the TT). Also, the Z32 never showed up in Fast and Furious or Initial D. I think it was generally overlooked by most JDM import fans because of it's age and lack of publicity after the 90s. Thank goodness the prices for Z32TTs have been climbing for the past 5-10 years, this seems to be helping what few TTs are left survive.

An engine swap is quite mainstream for older sporty cars, the 350Z should be no exception at least to discuss even if it is difficult. It sounds like the DE rack is a tight fit with the newer engines but what parts come close/do hit? Rack fitting problems are common in the engine swap business. Then there are the electrics, apparently. For my purposes the Haltech ECU would probably solve most problems, don't need no stinkin dash instruments.
It may not make economic sense to fit a post DE engine but then again most engine swaps don't.
