Default Wheel stud problems

Does anyone else have their wheel studs breaking off?
3 of mine broke off on my driver side rear
and I got a mechanic to fix it (I didn’t know how to do it) The
mechanic replaced all 5 of them, but when I was driving home today all 5 of them just broke off. Luckily I’m okay and my wheel didn’t shoot out.

2 causes that i can think of and the first is the most common.
Lug nuts were not torqued to spec and way over tightened causing them to over stretch then sheer. Another possibility would be a damaged wheel, have a tire shop check for balance/out of round/ bent wheel. Normally this part shows up more at higher speeds from what i have seen.

That's a scary and amazing story!
3 lug bolts broke away, your mechanic replaced ALL 5 and ALL 5 BROKE OFF???

Glad you're ok, you need to sell that car, fast. It's clear that it's been cursed, if you continue to drive it you will put your life at risk! Sell ASAP!

CORRECTION! Fix that problem before it's sold, or at the very least make sure the buyer is 100% UNDERSTANDING that there is a problem. I'd be PEEVED! if someone sold me a car and didn't tell me about this issue and I or my family or another innocent individual lost their life. I've seen what happens when a wheel goes bouncing down the road and strikes a vehicle.

OP, let me guess. Your mechanic installed the new studs then tightened the wheel down with an impact gun, didn't he?
