Weird electrical issue, ECU not communicating
Hi all, I'm the new owner of an 03 Z base with some sweet LMGT4 wheels, but that's not why I'm here. Last week I was driving home from work and the engine shut down at highway speed. I still had power to all the accessories, the engine just abruptly stalled out. I figured it was the fuel pump as it wasn't priming when trying to restart the engine. A few days later I replace the fuel pump and still nothing, just cranks all day long. Then I notice the radiator fans are at full blast, the red security light is solid, there is no SEL on the dash and I can't get the OBD2 scanner to read. great. I know this means the ECU is not communicating with the rest of the car, but I can't figure it out for the life of me. All fuses are good in the box behind the battery (IPDM).
Any ideas? I'm stuck

I would treat this like any other no-start condition ... for it to die at speed is abnormal.
assume you have fuel (dont assume the gauge is right - go put 5-10gallons in it from a gas jug).
Can you hear the fuel pump prime? can you check fuel pressure?
I would check your battery connection and your grounds (you can find these in the FSM)
double check fuses & relays for the ignition & fuel system
double check that the crankshaft and cam shaft position sensors are plugged in and if you want to throw $150 at it purchase new OEM or hitachi only sensors.
that's all I can think of right now ...
