Default HID conversion kit for high beam

Ok here goes. 2004 Roadster here with OEM HID as low beam. Canadian model, so DRL's on high beam.
Wondering if I can install an HID conversion H7 kit for the high beam. Knowing that the high beam bulbs works at 50% of the power on DRL, Would the HID conversion work?

Thanks for your input

Why not just get the factory HIDs with the single bulb? Conversion applies to this as well and it'll be well worth it. Sure the housing itself is pricey, but it's better imo

Sure, it will work since the ballast for the HID bulb in the H7 location is triggered by a 12v source, but please, for the sake of everyone else on the road, don't do this. The HID output in a simple reflector without the light being properly focused by a projector is going to be scattered and blinding to other drivers.

So I went back with the OEM H7 bulb. One thing I learned is if one bulb burns, it cancels the DRL system.
