I have search the forums on this topic and I am a little confused by it, and I am looking for some clarification. So when swapping ECU/ECM, they have to be the same year, transmission etc. For example :
old ECU/ECM New ECU/ECM New ECU/ECM
Will this work? If so, I would have to tow it to the dealership to have them program it to BCM? Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated!
Yes the ECU has to match the year/trans etc but it does not have to be identical. An easier option than towing to the dealer is to just flash it with Uprev and bypass NATS completely, You can get a fun base tune loaded on as well and it will be plug in play
