Hello,
'06 350z clutch pedal stuck to floor yesterday.. Got a tow home and put it up on jack stands. There are no leaks, the fluid is clear and full. When I depress the clutch it just clicks into the bottom position and stays there. I bled the system, refilled the fluid, and still does not build pressure.
From below, the slave pin is stuck in the extended position. I removed it, cleaned the internals, reinstalled, and still no pressure in pedal as well as the pin does not move. I noticed that when I removed the slave cylinder, the clutch fork stays in the outward position (as if the clutch was depressed).. I can wiggle it back and forth with my hand. Is this related to why the pin will not go back into the slave cylinder? I am stuck. I've ordered a new slave and master cylinder because of this and will be installing tomorrow.
Any idea why this is? Is there something wrong with my fork? Upon the clutch failing there was loud screeching and shaking in the pedal, and a gradual decrease in the engagement point (closer and closer to floor). Any help will be appreciated as I am going to replace the Master/Slave/hose tomorrow, and if that still doesn't work I will need to be prepared for dropping the tranny. Thanks.
This video shows exactly how my pedal is at the moment:
The picture below is the slave cylinder on my bell housing. When I press the clutch, that slave pin does not extend.. So I don't know if the fork is not returning the pin to it's rest position or what.
