Default 2003 Will not start sudden issue

Driving fine - NA 2003 350Z manual trans- nothing out of the norm - running well.

Started it - drove it 5 milers. 5 minutes later, went to start and NOTHING. No click - No crank - nothing. I can hear the fuel pump power up, battery is fine 12.4 volts when checked, and not even a audible click. After much labor to get it to a road - it would not bump/push start. I got a little bit of a mumble as though it tried to start. I popped the clutch in first, where the rear wheels rather grabbed with the slight mumble. Later, I have read it is better to do this in 2nd gear.

Previously, I had a camshaft position sensor codes and check engine light - something that apparently was a recall issue that my vehicle fell outside the 10 year window (according to Nissan). I got 2 sensors, changed one, and still got one of the codes. I had been driving it in this condition with the intent of getting another sensor (thinking the replacement might have been bad). Now I am getting a P0011 A Camshaft Position - Timing Over Advanced or System Performance. I need to say that the car was running well - no issues - good MPG - accelerating well as always. This new code concerns me of course.

I am thinking starter or perhaps the clutch interlock switch as some have mentioned in other threads. On one post, THAT was the problem. A starter can go out suddenly like this - but the lack of push start effectiveness - this new code - and the fact it was running just fine before this - has me lost at the moment. My next step was going to be a bench test of the starter. Any help, thoughts, suggestions, or similar experience would VERY MUCH be appreciated.

Thank you
Craig

I need to mention that very rarely - maybe once in 20 starts it will take a few cranks to turn over whereas it's usually instant start - thanks.

Appreciate the suggestion on OEM Camshaft sensors

Regarding no start situation:

Swapped relays around - I found them harder than they should be to remove, for some odd reason. No change to no start situation.

Several commented that pressing clutch in several times - as many as 7 - or turning key as you press in clutch created a start situation. That did nothing for my sitaution.

Created a jumper wire in the shape of a U after unplugging Clutch interlock - No change to no start situation.

Car is full on oil, difficult though it sort of is to read with that wonderful dipstick.

I'll remove the starter next. Any other thoughts, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Was starter as suspected. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything.
