I've searched and searched on this topic, but only came up with a couple not so useful posts on the subject. Based on this, I'm assuming it isn't a very common issue. The issue being that my 06' Roadster's odometer read out went from perfect to missing segments all of a sudden. I literally pulled in to gas station where it read perfectly, turned vehicle off, fueled, then turned it on again when I noticed it no longer had the full #'s displaying. Some segments appear to be missing altogether. It's now been like this for over a year since I haven't had the time to deal with it. Hopefully my pics will post correctly so issue can be visualized. The brighter picture was taken in daylight where the missing segments can't be seen at all. The dimmer picture was inside my garage with the top on and interestingly, I can make out the missing segments a little more (which seems to indicate they are there but much dimmer). Has anyone else had this issue and were you able to repair it yourself? If so, what did you do? I will likely pull the cluster out and make sure connections are fully seated. If that doesn't make a difference, I will pull it apart a bit further to see if there any connections near the display portion on the circuit board that may be loose. Car has fairly low mileage @75K on 2006, so I'm reluctant to replace the whole thing since most I've seen out in the market have much higher mileage on the clock. Thanks for any assistance! If the Z sits for long, it usually will have missing segments. It will usually clear up ( return to normal) after some drive time. I usually take a pic of the odometer before parking it for the day to know what the mileage is the next time it leaves the garage (not a daily drive).
I too have searched and not come up with much. I do remember seeing someone suggesting checking connections but have yet to remove cluster to check.
***Found a shop in Tampa and plan to
take the cluster to him in the next few days. I have already removed from the car and it’s ready to go! I will update as able.

Reason: Update
Took the gauge cluster to DNA speedometer in Tampa, FL. Andrew put it on the the test bench and of course, he couldn’t reproduce the problem on the bench. Checked all connections and found no issues. He suggested that it could be the actual display going bad…
