Default 06 350Z Convertible / smell / mp3 / wheels

Just joined my350z.com and still figuring it out, but I have a few questions:
I've been searching forum topics for replacing my convertible roof. I'm not a DIYer, I prefer to pay a professional to do things right. Bought the 2006 350Z Convertible Touring in 2015 with 8K miles and have 43K on it now, but the last 2 years, the roof has grown multiple tiny tears and patches of sort of sticky areas. It's always garaged or covered at night, but in the open during the day. Living in Palm Springs area, I put the top down almost every day (to and from work) except in the super hot summer. I tried convertible roof conditioner and wash it carefully by hand. But how it looks, I want to know from this group, what is a fair price to pay for a new roof and have a pro install it?

Occasionally, I also get a musty smell in the car--usually in the summer. As far as I can tell there does not seem to be a cabin filter in the car. No mention of one in the manual. Is that true?

Next to the CD player are small letters that say "MP3". How does one play mp3 music through the car's sound system? I don't see any ports for an adapter to my iphone.

Finally, I have after market wheels that are flaking apart. I'd like to replace those too. Any suggestions of good/reputable sources to buy new wheels? (front wheels/tires are smaller than the rear)

Thanks for any help.

Welcome, and that's a lot of questions for a first post. Let's try to take them in order:

1) The convertible roof repair and install will vary by location. What's the going rate in Denver (where I live) will be different from what you'll pay in SoCal. It's NOT going to be cheap in any case, but try looking for estimates from a few seat repair or upholstery shops in your area. You can shop online for a shop selling the fabric top to get an idea of the material costs.

2) None of the Z33 models were equipped with a cabin air filter.

3) Not sure what kind of headunit is in your ZR, so I cannot comment on where your MP3 port might be.

4) Unless you don't like your current wheels, you could have them refinished by a local wheel shop. If you've gotta get new wheels, try looking at some of the larger internet based tire shops (tire rack.com or others) to research and view possible wheels with suggested sizes and offsets that will fit your ZR.

Hope this helps!
