so i have a 03 350z my bolt on list is a 75mm throttle body a v+ kinetix upper plenum, an after market air intake (dont know the brand was with the car when i bought it), stainless steal test pipes, and a tomai catback exhaust, my problem is my car runs lean in bank 1, i have gotten 2 check engine lights and it really only happens when im idling for a long time, for example i go to taco bell during my lunch break and its usually a 10 min wait in the drive thru and u can hear it run pretty rough at idle and it has thrown a check engine light before in the drive through so i turn my heater on to get the idle to go up to about 850rpm to kinda get more gas in the cylinders when im waiting for that long and since i started turning my heater on at idle i havent got a check engine light but it still runs rough, i havent pullled a spark plug to see if its white at the tip yet and thatll be my last resort, i dont wanna tune the car cuz im planning on forced induction very soon in the future i just have to do fuel injectors and a fuel pump and im gonna get a twin turbo kit (jwt twin turbo) so i dont want to pay for a tune now and in a month or 2 have to pay for another tune when i have the turbo kit and the injectors installed. Please someone help me with this.

Fixing to speak some facts...

IF you cannot afford to tune your car 2x....the FI is just not for you.

Do not finance a turbo kit, do not blow your savings on FI.

Don't be the next Dugan.

You might have a Vac leak or exhaust leak. Instead of going to Taco Bell for lunch, drive over to Advance and have them pull the codes.

I forsee some bolt ons and rocket bunny kit in your future.

Hopefully one of the mods will move this to the correct thread. It specifically says to not ask car questions here.

If you are un tuned with a different throttle body you are asking for trouble. Get a tune. Before that you need to check for intake leaks and check your exhaust gaskets before the test pipes.

Turbo dream is not a reason not to fix your current issues.
