Question 2004 350z Shifter not aligned

I’m not sure what’s going on here. Bought the car like this and haven’t been able to figure this one out. They replaced the clutch and now it appears the transmission or something isn’t aligned. Thought I’d just need to adjust the shifter guide plate but that seems to be partially inaccessible

WTF, this is like not possible unless the tranmission brace isnt bolted on and an engine mount is completely broken.
It shifts?/ moves?

It runs and drives. Shifts fine as long as I shift slowly or it’ll grind..

motor was recently replaced along with clutch. Everything on this car is solid. Except for this bracket. It’s not loose.it’s gotta be bolted onto something I think

Have you jacked the car up and put it on jack stands? Then you could safely do a full inspection on the entire engine/tranny installation. Are you certain you didn't buy somebody else's mechanical problem(s)?

This. ^^^

Your transmission (or motor mount) is improperly mounted, like way off. The shifter, hence trans tail assembly, should be centered in the shifter opening and there should be unfettered access to the alignment plate bolts.

As such (this is a G35 but same thing)...

well luckily I only bought this car for 2k with a healthy motor with 68k. I at least got my moneys worth but yeah I’ll have to thoroughly look. Updates soon

I'd be worried about the driveshaft angle at high rpm's with it like that
