Hey guys desperate need of some help my top won’t open, I’ve tried everything and right now all I hear is motor inside the top lid holder lid moveing and latch opening but that’s it.

 

Welcome- moved your thread to a more appropriate forum. It would be helpful if you would post the year and mileage of your ZR and what steps you've taken to check the top operation. The ZR top is a complex mechanism and there's many potential issues that could keep it from opening. Think back and include any clues that might help explain what happened.

 

O7 350Z vert, 112,000 miles, I’ve checked the 5th bow motor and the 2 rear motors in the trunk with a pig tail and battery. All 3 motors are moving fine with 12 volt plugged directly to it.

 

Have you checked any codes with the BCM? Are the seats moving and windows folding down in the early part of the sequence?

 

What is the bcm? The passengers seat moves up and the windows go down.

 

BCM=body control module. Some codes may be held in memory without activating a CEL.
