Need help with this problem don’t know where to start
Wire harness bitten off
I need some help I’m not to sure where to start off. I was going to work on my car left my front bumper off and my dog over the night chewed off some of my wire harness, now I am not sure if I need a whole new wire harness or is there any other option I can do before pulling off the entire wire harness.
oh no~
I don't think you need new harness.
if this is the case for me, I will do this...
1. have wire diagram
2. disassemble for part, which part has wire end. (also easy to re-wiring)
3. add wire color by color.
4. if same color wire and not sure which one is which, check which electric parts and ON/OFF with multimeter. (for example, washer pump)
hope it will help.

WHOA, your dog did that!?
Disconnect battery, cut back damaged wiring, splice in new wiring. It should be a simple matter of matching color to color since it's pretty obvious where both ends link up.
I believe that harness routes behind the washer tank and then up behind the passenger headlight and into the IPDM. Replacing the entire harness would be way more labor and cost. Just splice in some new wire of the same awg/grade. If possible try to color match. Re-wrap with new harness sheath to keep it looking stock/original.
I prefer to use solder with moisture resistant heatshrink to prevent corrosion.
Good Luck!
