Is there a way to tell what tranny revision you have?

I've been searching threads on the tranny problems, and found people talking about several revisions to the Z tranny (up to 8??) is there a way to tell which one my car has ?

One of the digits in the VIN maybe ?

Ask Jeff@performance nissan. Honestly man, I wouldnt be paranoid about it if I were you. So far the '04s arent having as many tranny problems as 03s. Wait it out and enjoy the ride
