Default Best and safe product for scratches?

Hello,
My car got swiped(lower left corner front bumper) when i came out to the parking lot after running errands. Is there a good and safe chemical product that can remove alot of these scratches? Or do i have to get a re-paint? Thanks.

Looks like a job for touchup paint. Order from courtesy, their pens are supposedly fantastic (I haven't used one). As for a chemical, 3M rubbing compound is great and safe. Other rubbing compounds are like russian roulette.

NzZ,
You mean these products? Are these sold in local stores like Walmart or Autozone? Thanks.

Yes those are exactly the products, and they are available at WalMart - I just bought and USED the rubbing compound 2 days ago - worked GREAT. Really brought out a luster in the paint and got rid of some tree sap I had. Some of the tree sap was on too tight, so I'll prob claybar it. Just wanted to assure you that it's safe to use on the car. I will say that no product NONE not even damn Zaino can actually remove scratches...but the rubbing compound will reduce their appearance.

I'm sorry man my local Walmart here in houston had it. It was 3M rubbing compound, I believe the exact same bottle you posted. I'd offer to mail you one from here, but the feds would have me by the ***** b/c you need a license to ship that stuff across state lines. :-)

South post oak by meyerland. They had the 3M rubbing compound, worked great for me. I don't have the bottle in front of me to remember what line it was, but it was 3M rubbing compound. About $6 if I recall correctly.

Bought it today! It seemed to be the only Walmart to have it. Will try it either today or tomorrow. Thanks.
