Angry Damn Cupholder!!

The cupholder over on the passender side dash is broken, again! That thing is a p.o.s. Is anyone else's broke too?

I've had it fixed and replaced and all and it's maybe worked for maybe 4 outta the 12 months.

I try to be very careful when using it. Looks very fragile. I know it is going to break anytime soon. I think my girlfriend is going to break it because I never let her use it and of course she is also jealous of the car.

I was going to buy one of those Belkin cup holder adapters for my iPod. Do you think that will break it?

Yeah, those were my first thoughts... nobody else touch it! and i was fragile with it. Oh, my pretty little pet, I love you. So, I stroke it, and I pet it, and I massage it. Hehe, I love it, I love my little naughty pet, you're naughty! And then I take my naughty pet and I go BAM-BANG-CRACK!!! It's broke.

that cupholder mechanism is pretty sweet though. I wont put anything over 20oz in there. and thats max. Any of those containers that bulge out at the top should not be placed in there. Who drinks that much anyway?

Another case of aesthetics over function... but it shouldn't really break unless you accidentally bumped it while it was open, or if you tried to put a thermos into the slot

What did you do to break it? Did you put in a Starbucks and then the whole assembly just fell down or something?

If you cup holder breaks while supporting a measly 20oz cup, it's a suspension issue. Furthermore, if you have an aftermarket suspension with stiff springs, you deserve to get that cup holder broken because you should have known that increasing vertical g's will surely wreak havoc to that finely tuned mechanism.

Nothing heavy, the cupholder is still there. It just won't pop out when pressed. you can pull it out about 1/2". anyways, all you do is push and pull on it, you can't really get that rough. I don't have monster hands and I wasn't slaming it back in the hole
and the cupholder is about as fragile as the cover for the Nav. System and that still goes up and down.
Anyways, dealership fixed it once, lasted about a month, then they had to order and replace the track for it. That lasted about a day. after that I'm just thinking no drinking in the car...
Guess that takes care of drinking and driving.
