is this your second tranny ? if you only have 14k miles on your clutch and its already slipping something is seriously wrong.

I had 160k miles on my 1993 300zx clutch ...

nice avatar btw

definitely!!! you dont want to have to spend any money on a car with a warranty, and with the previous tranny problems you've had, shouldnt be a problem. shouldnt being the active word here

I'm sure they will try. In my experience, the nissan dealerships are the worse to deal with.

good luck

I had my clutch replaced about 5 months ago and I am on my second tranny. I think it had 11,800 miles on it when it went out. I first noticed it slipping two days before Christmas, then the day after Christmas it was gone! I had to fight with Nissan to give me a new clutch. They tried to blame me for it, but I know how to drive a stick and didn’t abuse it. Well, I finally won and they game me a new clutch, everything is fine now except for a gear whine

why do the dealerships give you such a hard time for bad clutch and tranny ??? if its warranty work, its not money out of their pocket is it ?

The dealer wasn't the problem, as my the owner was a friend of my father. Nissan USA was the problem, they wouldn't replace it because it they said it failed due to "wear and tear" and not a defect (a bunch of crap). So after calling Nissan for a week they gave in and replaced it. I think they might have blamed it on the pressure plate being not aligned properly after i had my tranny replaced.
