Default an idea (feathering related)

i have an idea... it would be very informative to visitors of this site if everyone put info about their tire feathering experience in their sigs. it would also make a powerful statement about the problem by creating an ever-present reminder of the existence of the problem, that visitors will see as they browse any and all forum topics.

so your sig might look like:

----
2003 enthusiast 350z
tire feathering at 4200 miles (first set of tires)
tire feathering at 5000 miles (second set of tires)

we have enough reminders. it sucks but all you accomplish with something like that is exposure to the wrong people and the consequent killing our resale value. nissan is alreadsy addressing this problem.

All you need to do is click on the thread that has over 2800 posts and 100k views and that will give you all the "reminding" you'll need.

Dr. Bonz:

Have you had any feathering problems with your Z?

I had my first front set of tires replaced at 6,700 miles and
just had the lastest alignment and front tires replaced at 12,600 miles.

Oh yeah. Big time. I had the tire swap done at around 4500 for some major tire ROAR. They did the 4 wheel alignment with the specs at that time (Fall of 03) and now at about 9500 it is back again with a vengence. Plan on getting new tires when I get back from Z DayZ.

How can you guys add expensive mods, to a car that is basically defective vis a vis tire eating. I want to mod mine for performance, but am not sure I am going to keep it due to this issue. I have read on the board of many Z owners dumping the car, and noticed many extemely low mileage 350Z's for sale at the web car sale sites. In September my Z is 2 years old, and no more free tires. How many way's can you say fckd.
