Default 04 Touring Passenger Seat Rattle

Starting at approximately 3,000 miles the passenger seat bottom on leather power seats started to rattle. I have been to the dealership 3 times and they could not reproduce the noise, but repaired center guage cluster rattle, A-pilar rattle and identified hatch strut problem. I am concerned because I am approaching 12,000 miles which is the end of the adjustments warranty, which cabin noise is covered.

I have unzipped the seat cover and checked under the seat bottom for any loose fixtures. I repaired one mount that was not mounted to the seat bottom on the left front holding an intersection between 3 wires and connectors. However this is not the source of the rattle.

Moving the seat forward and back will subside the rattle. Weight in the passenger seat stops the rattle.

I can reproduce the rattle by knocking on the right rear of the the seat bottom. The sound is plastic against plastic.

I have the same seat rattle in my 04 Enthusiast. Wasn't aware that I only had until 12k miles to have that fixed, thanks for informing me. Good thing I'm only at 10k... I better take it in to get checked soon.

What dealership did you take it to?

My friend who works at NNA in so cal pulled a list of dealers in my area. He recommended Capitol Nissan at the Capitol Auto Mall in San Jose. So far they have been friendly and the parts department is really good. They are ten fold better than Stevens Creek where I bought the car. I will never visit Stevens Creek auto row again.

Anyone have a clue how to fix the problem? I am concerned the dealer will not acknowledge it again.

I dropped my car off for the day at Capitol Nissan.

I pounded on the passenger seat to show the service rep. I also mentioned its my third time for the seat and dash rattles. This time they appeared to listen and commented the work order better.

I bet it helped that I am having Nismo S-tune suspension, sways, exhaust, factory aero package, and 11,250mi service done. They even gave me a rental car.
