Default anyone want to give pointers on adjusting the windows?

I need to adjust the windows, as they go back down halfway after they go auto up, or even sometimes when they just seal after closing the door.

brought it to the POS nissan dealer who told me that will be an "adjustment" and is only covered for 12months or 12000miles. I have 13000.

the price is 150$, PER WINDOW.

so, looks like I will be repairing this myself, with the help of the trusty service manual and any tips you guys might have.

PS. they also tossed in that it might be the tint causing it. if it were under warrenty Id fight that all the way.

That doesen't make any sense...
I thought we have a bumper to bumper waranty for 3 years 36000 miles.

My dealer has replaced both my window motors and adjusted them 3 times, because of window problems.

I have no tint and my passenger side does the same thing. I thought there was a TSB for this? I don't remember it saying anything about 12000 miles.

This isn't the exact thing you are talking about but this TSB describes how to reset the window limits.

I had my passenger window 'readjusted' far after 12K. Must have had over 20K when it was done. No questions asked and definitely covered under warrantee.

Dealers say the dumbest things in an effort to be profitable.

I would call and report that dealer to NNA; that is the kind of BS I used to get from my Chevy dealership. It is sad to hear Nissan dealers acting the same way.

The TSB seems a bit clearer (and also an indication that I jsut need to take it in and have the motors replaced, but check out this thread as well:
