My Z has 14,000 miles on it, and I was washing it today (always by hand) and the "Z" emblem on the back (where it says "350 Z") was cracked completely through, and ready to fall off. So I call my Nissan dealer and they tell me that they don't know if that is covered under warranty, but they will look at it next week. Not that a plastic emblem will be that expensive if I have to pay for it...but it's a Touring Z, I would think for that kind of money they could make emblems that don't fall apart for no reason. And even then, if they can't, perhaps they could cover it under warranty...not happy right now, if it stays this way, next car will be a Benz for sure.

Otherwise - love the car.

 

i think the emblems are the same quality on any trim 350z. its about $20 to replace at Courtesy. never heard of the emblem cracking, maybe hit and run?? i don't think they will cover since the part is so cheap.

 

Thanks man...no biggy to me if its only 20 bucks...now if they try and ra** me with a 100 dollar emblem, we're gonna have problems!

 

i bet 20 for parts but at least .5 labour hours.

 

UPDATE:

The Emblem, plus the 15K mile maint. (including oil change) came to $62.00 - no biggy.

 

My emblem broke as well. The bottom part of the "Z" on the 350z emblem broke off. I asked the dealer about it and they said they could order the part but I might just end up ordering the fairlady emblem
