Default Anyone know anything about transmissions?

This is not w/ my Z, but my Mustang which I'm looking to sell. All of a sudden (and a guy was planning on buying it tomorrow) it seems the clutch and transmission are all screwy. The clutch is really tough to push in now. It has a resistance sort of like a car without power steering has to turn the wheel when the car is standing still. It also makes like a squeekig sound as I have to really give it a good push to get it in. Also shifting feels ridiculously loose, like there is no resistance at all at any time. Also when its parked and off I can put it in any of the 5 gears and reverse very easily... Now i can't even remember if thats normal as I would normally push in the clutch to put it in gear when I was going to park it.

Additional new info: My dad who has been driving the car the past couple of weeks now is telling me that he couldn't get it in reverse at all yesterday and ended up driving it around through the grass to move it yesterday.

I've been driving my Z for 2 weeks so for a min I thought it was just me not being used to the Mustang again but I drove the car for 10 years without any problems and I know something is wrong. Was just wondering if anyone might know whats wrong and what it'll cost me to fix it or if anyone knows a site where I can ask and might get an answer. I dont' know much about cars and hate to go into a mechanic completely clueless.
