Ok I was on the way home from work going about 75-80 mph on the freeway. I was in the far left lane, there was a car to my right, and a car behind me. Straight ahead I see a big ******* rock and with no where to go I have to run right into it. I center the rock between my car and pray I’ll make it by............BOOM damn rock hits my car and I see it go tumbling in the rear view mirror. I head to the nearest gas station to check out the damage all the while thinking my front bumper may be trashed. Thank god I find no visible damage, but upon further inspection it does look like my right site cat(piece of pipe in front of Y shaped pipe?) may have been damaged. So my question is how much damage might have been done and should I take it to the dealer to be checked out? Everything else looks fine, car runs fine, and no fluid leaks. God why do bad things happen to awesome cars!

 

I hear ya. I hit a huge dog with mine. An RV infront of me hit & killed it. Ran over it with both front and back, then I hit it square at about 60mph. Launched both front and rear wheels. The only thing it did was knock my entire exhaust system back about an inch. Freaked me out.
