Default installed kinetix test pips, but...

yesterday i installed the kinetix test pipes with in-line resonator which people (& the company website) claimed that this test pipe won't produce the (raspy) sound at 3~4K ..... unfortunatly i think i can hear that Damn sound at exactly 3K (while the throttle is released), actually i don't know that raspy sound people talking about how does it sound , but i think it is what i have in mine.

did anyone of you got those pipes and gets that sound.????

FYI in the same day i installed the nismo catback exhaust

Dang, I was going to get those early next month. How bad is the 'rasp' that you're hearing at 3k? Is it really audible?

I've spoken to about 15 different people with the Kinetix resonated test pipes installed on the Z and they explained to me that there should be no 'rasp', unless you're at WOT. Did you have a shop install the pipes or did you do it yourself?

WOT means Wide Open Throttle. Meaning when you have it pushed to full acceleration (high RPM's).

The 'pssssss' sound you're hearing can be a leak (not for certain). The Kinetix test pipes from what I've heard should not make any rasp except at WOT.

Usually when people talk about 'rasp', I think they're referring to a high pitched noise that makes the Z sound like a Honda Civic with a fart can exhaust. I've heard test pipes without the in-line resonator and it sounded NASTY.

So reffering for what you said .... then i can say i don't have any rasp sound ...

but also i don't think i do have any leak of any kind.... in fact i've had'em on (exhaust and pipes) on my car for a couple of days at only about 150 miles.... so they are brand new till now.... i hope it will disappear after some time
