That generation is already here! Im working on a next gen title and its really insane the detail one can out into it, but its gonna cost alot more for developers and thus price of games will increase, as well as the pressure to make a hit game is all the more important. Its predicted that differently than before, there wont be another gen of consoles for like 10 years..so these will be around for a long time. We're at the point now where we can almost do anything (real time hair and clothe is tricky I dont foresee that for a while) so buckle up..
