AH-64 Apache Longbow? You sir have one of the best jobs in the world. I envy you...I bet you must have a blast with all the startup procedures tho lol I tried a KA-50 blackshark and that took me about an hour just for proper starting procedures lol.

That is exactly why it is like that on our uniforms. If it were facing the other way it would be "retreating from battle". Ever heard the term, "these colors don't run"? Who's to say it is backward anyway? Is there a front and a backside when it hangs on a pole? Nope. It hasn't always been on uniforms that way however.

The reason the flag is reverse is for Identification purposes. The first thing you see is the Stars and Stripes When seeing a soldier face to face. Instead of Stripes then Stars. At least that was what I was told.
