I just have no love for Glocks for some reason (though I acknowledge that they are both popular and good guns overall). The HK P2000 is a great gun, but I've really fallen for the 1911's recently and just traded the P2000 for a Kimber Pro-carry (4" 1911) that will be my new CCW weapon. I had a Ruger P85 years ago, but I don't like 9mm for anything other than playing at the range. 9mm has unacceptable stopping power to be used as a carry gun. WAY OT, but anyway.....
Yeah Glock is a nice gun from what I have heard. Don't know a whole lot about gus yet, the Ruger is my 1st and I have only been 21 for 10 or so days so I got plunty of time. I was looking at Glocks and then some .45's but I just didn't see the need for my 1st gun to get anything that big or that expensive. So far I love the lil Ruger, but im sure in due time I will grow on to bigger and better.

BTW that's a nice collection ya got there.

Oh and I didn't get the liberal joke, I know nothing about politics, and I mean nothing.

If you're gonna carry Glock, the Springfield XD is the one to carry.

Your "firm nomination" for G.W. as Darwin Award winner is pretty "pink".

But yeah, alot of your posts do reflect a somewhat liberal view of the world.

That's sweet, but it looks like it has too many safteies... Mine has none.

I just think the guy's a moron. And it's obvious the economics of the US has crached since he's been in office. Just don't care for him as a person, speaker, or president. Not to mention the oil prices, we all know the real reason behind why they are so high...

Edit: Wait is Darwin Award a good or a bad award? I though it was for stupidity? Right?

You should read the manual for your gun. Your Ruger has a safety too, you just don't see it. Much like the visible trigger safety on BStanbu's XD, your gun has a firing pin block that requires the trigger be pulled to the rear in order for the pin to strike the primer (this prevents accidental discharge from drops, etc.). That is exactly what the safeties on the XD do. You have to hold the gun and pull the trigger for it to go off. If you can think of a firing scenario that *wouldn't* require both of these, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, the XD isn't any different than your Ruger from a safety standpoint.

I won't argue the merits of GW with you here, but the Darwin Award is really supposed to be for people that die doing stupid things. Therefore, GW isn't really a candidate, despite how much you disagree with his progress. He's still alive and is therefore not eligible.

Not sure about all the Spanish, but the DE .50 AE is INSANE. The only time I fired one, I payed $21 for a box of 20 rounds, and every casing came back and hit me square in the forehead. The recoil made it impossible to control. I HATED shooting it and I couldn't wait to get it back in the rental case. I see no point in that gun. The DE .357 Mag on the other hand was really fun to shoot beause at least you could control it and it didn't beat the **** out of you. Oh, and you could afford to put ammo in it

spanish - living the crazy life with my desert eagle action express
or from ricky martin's living la vida loca lol (vivendo - living)
in videos games they glorify the deagle as probably the greatest pistol of all times...
in real life i'd think 1 shot 1 kill through exit wounds or the magnum exploding in the guy's chest or something

Thank you sir for the translation!

As for the 1 shot 1 kill, the 50 AE bullet definitely has some stopping power just because of sheer mass, the problem is that it takes such an enormous gun to support it that it's not practical for anyone to use it. The DE.50 weighs something like 4 pounds. Lugging that thinig around would be a full time job in itself.

I have always wanted to shoot the Desert Eagle. Yeah I read my manual lastnight, it does have a few safty fetures that arn't really noticable.

As for the GW talk. Im going to stop. Im not that politicaly inclined, and well, I don't want to hijack this post. I got my reasons why I prefered Clinton to Bush, may not be very political reasons, but ah well, I don't know much about that anways. Just seems to me that with Bush, the rich get richer while the poor get poorer, with Clinton I saw him as more of a common person, much like myself.

Back to gun talk, I think Im going to go to the range again either tonight or tomorrow. I think im addicted, I just need to find myself a decient case. Think Wal Mart would have soething worth while?

If you do shoot a DE, save your money and shoot either a 44Mag or 357Mag. The 50 AE is a stupid, heavy, unwieldy, expensive gun.

I doubt you'll find a decent gun case at Wal-mart. You have any gun stores near you?
