This is my neighbor's 911 turbo. He has about 3k miles on his. It is a work of art. The two silvers are similar but his has NO orange peel. Thats what you get for a $125k car.

He has the tip-tronic thing. He doesnt really like it. I dont know if he can drive a stick shift. I live in Orange county/socal.

 

Where in So Cal do you live? That looks like Tustin on Jamboree. My friend(neighbor) has a 996 Turbo also w/ GT3 seat, RUF exhaust, and carbon fiber options! He also has a red 420rwhp RX7.

I live in Fullerton, CA. I was going to introduce my neighbor to this site, but after these comments, I better keep him away.

On a side note, after 16 years of driving, I have never gotten a ticket or been pulled over. Only two days with this car, I get a ticket for making a right turn on a red light without stopping. That sucks.

For those of you talking trash about the auto 996tt, shut up unless you've driven one. I've driven both auto and manual, and let me just say, the auto is no slouch.

 

Sucks about the ticket....I have 1 point coming to me soon . I got enough tickets in my past car...I don't even want to think about it now that I'm in a faster car.

it isn't a matter on being a "slouch" but when you are buying a TRUE sports car and a car that has so much HP (where every tenth of a sec is crucial), why do an AUTO??? I was bugged when Porsche started putting the Autos in the 911, now that the 996 TT has it, I am really bugged. Leave that for the Vette posuers.

 

He bought the car so he's entitled to whatever tranny he wants. If you want the manual in the car so bad you pay for it.

 

oh, don't get so touchy, I make fun of my dads CLK55 AMG for the SAME reason!!!

 

damn, clk 55 amg is badass. i don't know of too many cars that can do 0-60 in under 5 with an auto tranny.
